Yakub Baba Dargah: This is a great example of Hindu Muslim unity in India. Yakub Baba was one of the Gurus of Shivaji Maharaja. He had given advice to Shivaji Maharaj during attack on Dabhol. Later on Shivali Maharaj – The King of Hindu Empire expressed his wish to build a Dargah & awarded land measuring 653 acres. The work of dargah was started by Shivaji Maharaj and continued by Sambhaji Raje & completed by Peshava Bajirav-I. In the year 1681 Yakub Baba left for heavenly abode. Every year people celebrate Urus on 6th December. The tradition to begin this Urus by Hindu people is practiced even today.
